Dr. Hayat Sindi is one of the world’s leading biotechnologists, a pioneering Saudi medical scientist, and among the first female members of Saudi Arabia’s Consultative Assembly. A UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and former Senior Advisor to the Islamic Development Bank, she co-founded Diagnostics for All with a Harvard team, bringing life-saving, low-cost diagnostic tools to underserved communities. Holder of nine patents, she champions youth innovation, STEM education, and biotech for global development. Her work has earned recognition from Newsweek, Forbes, and the Clinton Foundation for bridging science, policy, and social impact. She earned her PhD in biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, becoming the first woman from the Gulf to do so.
