Ishaan Shah
Human Rights Advocate | Advisor to UN Women, UN Youth Office, UNODC & IOM
Ishaan Shah is a London-based youth activist, advisor, and founder of Stolen Dreams, a global initiative empowering young people to take action against modern slavery and human trafficking. Shocked to learn about slavery’s continued existence at age 13, Ishaan launched his advocacy journey by educating peers and speaking at the UN. Today, he advises multiple UN entities—including UN Women, UNODC, UNESCO, UN Youth Office, and the UN Foundation—on intergovernmental processes and youth engagement. A member of the Global Commission on Modern Slavery, Ishaan works to influence international policy, raise awareness in schools, and bridge the gap between youth and global decision-making. He is also a UN Women National Gender Youth Advocate and part of the UN Youth Office’s Reference Group.
