Honoree Details

William Tan is a high school student with a strong passion for science, engineering, and environmental stewardship. He is the co-founder of Fish Hut, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting positive mental health and environmental awareness among youth through fishing as a way to connect with nature. By creating opportunities for young people to build a deeper appreciation of the outdoors, William fosters both community engagement and well-being.

Currently, William leads the Build a Reef Initiative, a project designed to encourage conservation and protect waterways by raising awareness about the importance of aquatic ecosystems. His vision is to blend innovative science with community action to drive lasting environmental change.
